Champ time: Your Champion time is the time you’re trying to rope four steers in. Higher number teams will be held to a higher standard. It all comes down to which team is furthest under or closest to their champion time.

The champion time system uses 5 second penalties (Broke barrier, Leg).
The Champion time system ends the run on the heelers horn bump.

Horn bump: Half wrap on horn, Horse under control, rope tight. Under 12 and over 50 can tie on or use a break away.

Who wins the roping?
Ex. Team 1: #2 team, Champ time 50. Roped 4 steers in 45.5 seconds. -4.5 seconds under champ time.
Team 2: #8 team, Champ time 35. Roped 4 steers in 36 seconds. +1 second over champ time.
The winner would be Team 1 because they roped better according to thier ability.
